Duluth Preserving Company (DPC) crafts distinctive jams with bold fruits and spice combinations with an emphasis on sourcing local and organic ingredients. DPC came to me for help with branding and packaging. The business was just getting off the ground so DPC wanted a logo that looked great in just one color as well as labels that could be affordably printed.
The approach to the packaging label was to keep it affordable to print, but look distinctive and of high quality on the shelf. DPC decided on a kraft brown label with a one color print. It was simple, but looked refined next to competitors that often have busy paintings, retro patterns, etc.
