The College of St. Scholastica wanted a website that would serve as a hub for it’s centennial celebration as well as a showcase of the college’s 100 years of history. The design needed to be neutral enough to work with a lot of different photography and be easy to navigate as it’s naturally content heavy. I decided to let the photography really drive the visual focus of the site so I gave the site plenty of white space to really make the photos stay front and center visually. I also developed a simple interactive timeline in Flash that is served on all archive blogs and the main history page. Check the website out at centennial.css.edu.
